Cordoba is a brand full of innovation and precision. That's why the Gypsy Kings choose the Cordoba 55FCE Negra as their go to guitar. It is very different then a normal classical nylon or flamenco guitar. It features a thinbody design and a deep cutaway for comfortable playing and improvisation. The neck width is slightly thinner as well. With a Custom Humicase Thingbody Protege Case, the Cordoba 55FCE Negra is a great deal for any musician. This limited edition features a rare Macassar Ebony on the back and sides, showing very beautiful figuring in the wood that makes each guitar unique.
The top of the guitar features solid spruce wood to make a very responsive and projectile top. The back and sides of the Cordoba 55FCE Negra are Macassar Ebony, which comes from Indonesia. This wood is only ever used on limited editions and custom guitars. It is a denser/harder tone wood that boast presence and is usually known for clearness and loudness with a broad dynamic range. The Macassar Ebony is only for the limited edition guitars for summer and fall of 2015!
The thinbody allows the player to feel comfortable moving around with the guitar. It also makes the guitar light weight and allows for more control and less "reach" to get to the strings. The 55FCE is a great travel and stage instrument!
