The J-45 is Gibson's best-selling acoustic of all time and stands by the nickname "The Workhorse". It was first introduced in 1942 and has become the cornerstone of Gibson's round-shoulder, dreadnought line. We are pleased to release a new version of the J-45 Standard with rosewood back and sides that delivers all of the playing and sonic characteristics you'd expect from the world-renowned J-45 but with slightly fuller bass response and overtone complexity due to the rosewood body. This guitar features L.R. Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup and preamp system, making them stage and studio-ready.
