Alamo Music Center
has been in the music business for more than 80 years, and we've
answered just about every question that can be asked. So, here are
the most frequently asked questions about our rental program.
Can I obtain an instrument without spending a lot of money?
Yes. Alamo Music Center offers a rental plan at a very
reasonable rate.
What options do I have with the Rental Plan?

You have three options:
- Purchase the instrument at the time;
- Continue to rent by the month until you decide the exercise
to Buy Plan;
- Return the instrument to Alamo Music Center after the
Initial Rental Period.
May I change instruments without additional cost?
Yes. At any time during the Initial Rental Period, you
may change your instrument for another without penalty.
Do I have to rent a new instrument?
No. You have a choice. Alamo Music Center offers rental
return instruments, when available, that have been reduced in price.
Ask our representative for information.
Couldn't I buy a cheap used instrument for someone?
Yes, but beware! Used instruments, left lying around for
a long time, often are in need of costly repair. And, if your child
should drop out of the program, you are stuck with a lemon. Your
child success is at stake. The initial months are the most crucial.
Don't start your child with the handicap of an inferior instrument.
They are harder to play.
Does our rent apply toward the purchase price if we decide to
buy the instrument?
Yes. Contact one of these

you rental toward purchase.
The Loss, Theft and Damage Policy (LTD)
The Loss, Theft and Damage Policy (LTD) you may choose to purchase
while renting an instrument from Alamo Music Center is considered
by most parents and teachers to be the best feature of our rental
program. There is no need for you to search any further because
you won't find a better "Coverage" Plan available anywhere.
Here are some excellent LTD features:
Loss or Theft...
The rental instrument in case of loss or theft will be
replaced with an instrument of equal quality, age and condition
according to the terms of the contract.
Damage...
Any major damage or breakage to the rental instrument
will be repaired to proper playing condition without charge. Coverage
does not apply to willful or deliberate destruction by the rentee,
nor to deterioration of appearance which does not affect the performance
of the instrument, such as scratches, minor dent and finish. Excluded
from coverage are drum heads, drum sticks, mouthpieces, strings
and replacement of expendable accessories and reasonable wear and
tear.
